Charlotte Badminton Club(CBC) dates back to 1940's and was one of the first badminton clubs started in the US. Now it is host to players originating from 20 countries, coming from different walks of life, young and old. It continues to serve the Charlotte community with the mission of growing and nurturing the sport, supporting upcoming junior players, and hosting friendly tournaments.

The Charlotte Badminton Club encourages juniors/kids to train. Due to the limited number of courts, the Junior Program is primarily driven towards competitive play and we rely on parents to complete the recreational play cycle. Below is a rough process flow that the Junior program follows. The junior program is currently on hold due to non availability of courts. However if parents can collaborate with each other and rent a court from mecklenburg county, a CBC volunteer can coach the kids at that location.
